The 2019 Rebels Spring camp has been set. Camp will be run Saturday, May 11th and 12th at the Cooperators Centre in Regina. Registrations should be submitted by March 29th to reserve your spot. Please download the Invitation Letter and Registration form and submit as soon as possible.
All ice sessions will be held in the Regina Co-operators Centre located at 1700 Elphinstone Street. For questions, please call Mike Merk at (306)537-1469 or e-mail mike.merk@sasktel.net.

The Regina Rebels are pleased to announce that Samantha Sichkaruk has committed to the University of Manitoba for the 2019 school year.
Sam has just finished her second season with the Rebels. She has been part of Sask First top 42 and was successful in earning a spot on the U16 team.
Regina Rebels are proud of Sam and wish her lhe best as she starts her next phase in her career at the University of Manitoba.

 Regina Rebels are proud to announce that Brooklyn Stevely has committed to Lindenwood University where she will play for the Lions in 2020/2021.
Brooklyn is a grade 10 student and in her second year with the Rebels and the only returning player on the blue line for the 2017/18 season. She is a very skilled player and brings leadership to the Rebels.
In her 49 games with the Rebels, she registered 10 goals and 19 assists.
Brooklyn has been part of the U16 Team Saskatchewan roster the past two seasons and was called up to skate for the U18 this past season.
Congratulations Brooklyn on your accomplishment, we wish you all the best!
The Regina Rebels hockey club invites all players from the 2001 – 2007 age group to come to their spring camp held April 14 – 15 at the Cooperators Centre in Regina. The camp will be split into an identification camp for those not eligible to play Midget and those eligible for the 2018/19 season. This camp will begin the process for team selection as well as for our affiliate program. For more information, please click on the links below and complete the registration process.

Miranda Hatt Driven to Succeed

 The Regina Rebels are pleased to announce that Miranda Hatt has committed to St. Mary's University in Halifax, NS for the 2018 school year.
Miranda is beginning her third season as a Regina Rebel. Miranda's hockey accomplishments include being a part of the 2016 Sask U-16 Team, 2017 Sask U-18 Team which participated in the National Championship. Miranda was also one of top 27 forwards across Canada to be invited to participate in the 2017 Hockey Canada Strength and Conditioning camp.

The camp will consist of skill development, power skating and small area games. The on-ice instruction will be led by Mike Merk of the Rebels coaching staff, and will also feature former CIS and NCAA players, and local female coaches.
This camp is geared toward female hockey players born in 2000 through 2006 (PeeWee, Bantam and Midget ages) who aspire to play at the highest level.
As space is limited, please apply by June 1st, 2017 to ensure your daughter receives full consideration.

Hockey Regina is pleased to announce that Mike Merk has been reappointed as Head Coach of the Regina Rebels for the 2017-18 season. Mike is looking forward to seeing everyone at Spring Camp April 14-16!
The Regina Rebels are pleased to announce that 4th year player Delaney Frey has committed to the University of Calgary for the 2015 school year.
Delaney has had an exciting career during her time with the Rebels full of many team and individual successes. During Delaney’s career with the Rebels she has experienced winning the Mac’s International Tournament in Calgary, SFMAAAHL provincial champions and provincial finalists, Hockey Canada Western Regional Champions and a 4th place finish at the Esso Cup which is the Canadian midget AAA Female championship. She was also a member of Team Saskatchewan U18 last year that competed in Calgary. Delaney is excited about this decision and felt both academically and athletically this was the best fit for her.
The Rebels are proud of Delaney’s accomplishments and wish her all the best next year.
Rebel Alumnae Receives Governor General's Bronze Medallion
Eleanor Lekach, Regina Rebels defensemen and jersey #7 from 2011 to 2014, is the recipient of the 2014 Governor General's Bronze Medallion awarded by Dr. Martin LeBoldus High School in Regina for maintaining the highest overall academic average of a graduate for all 20 and 30 level classes offered. Lekach, whose overall Grade 12 average was 97.2%, also achieved the highest average for both the Grade 12 French Immersion program and the Grade 12 program overall. Lekach was the top academic player on the Rebels for all 3 years she played in the SFMAAA Hockey League and is the first Rebel to receive a Bronze Medallion. Along with the Bronze Medallion, Lekach won 10 other academic and school awards. She is currently studying science at Campion College at the University of Regina in preparation for her planned application to dentistry/orthodontics
Rebels Goaltender to Alberta League in 2014-2015
_Graduating_sm.jpg) Regina Rebels are pleased to announce that goaltender - Summer Roberts has committed to the Red Deer Queens of the Alberta College Athletic Conference (ACAC).
Summer has had a fantastic year for the Rebels in her senior year. She has lead the  SFMAAAL in almost all categories finishing first overall in goals against for the season. Summer has provided strong leadership, has good size, technical skills and aggressive compete level on loose pucks. She will no doubt be a strong addition to the Queens roster this coming season.
Roberts commitment to academics is equally impressive as she has been accepted to the Dentistry, Bachelor of Science Pre-Professional Program at Red Deer College in the fall. Best of luck Summer!"

Home game Sunday, November 20th verses Saskatoon Stars will be broadcasted on Game Time Radio, Saskatchewan’s Sports Network. You will hear player introductions from Ally Kosteniuk, Brooklyn Stevely, Lauren Focht, Madison Milo, and Elise Morphy. You will hear a player interview from Brook Pellerin and a coach interview from Mike Merk. . It is a chance to hear the family name blurted in excitement over the “air waves”. Rock the Rink - November 19th!
All female players in Hockey Regina are invited to the Co-operators Centre for the Rebels' home game against the Saskatoon Stars with the faceoff set for 2:15 p.m. Female hockey is one of the fastest growing and most exciting sports in the world. Rock the Rink showcases female hockey at an elite level with the hopes that these young girls will aspire to become a Regina Rebel. All female players who show up wearing a team jersey will be admitted free, along will their parents. The female players and their teams will be eligible for prize draws.

Chantal Burke (Saskatchewan)
Chantal Burke was solid in her team’s clean sheet, as she posted the shutout in Saskatchewan’s 3-0 win over Team Atlantic. Burke faced 28 shots and was at her strongest in the second period when Team Atlantic sent 15 of their shots her way. Burke displayed good rebound control, quickness and agility throughout the game

Congratulations to Santana Gravelle in being selected for one of the World Junior Legacy Scholarships. She will receive a $1,000.00.
The Regina Rebels travelled to Morden Manitoba this weekend to play in the Pembina Valley AAA Hawks Thanksgiving tournament. The Rebels defeated Norman Wild 6 -1, St. Mary’s 5-0 and Central Plains Capitals 3-1. Their only loss was to Pembina Valley Hawks which was 5-1. Our wins could not have happened without the outstanding goal tending of Chantal Burke and Katheryn Neigum.
Goals were scored by Kennedy Bobyck, Jenna Merk, Miranda Hatt, Emilia MacDougall, Ally Kosteniuk, Sam Sichkaruk and Brook Steveley.

Rebels Will Build Off of Road Trip Loss to Gold Wings
A frigid night in Weyburn ended with a disappointing loss in Overtime for our Regina Rebels. The Gold Wings size and strength shut our Rebels down in the neutral zone and hemmed in most of our offensive chances last night. This was a sad loss, but one to build on for the Rebels. Here is how it went…
In period 1, Chelsea Perepeluk opened the scoring assisted by Marlee Clarkson and Emma Waldenberger. Period 2 saw Madison Colbow of the Gold Wings score answered by Waldenberger and Perepeluk. Period 3 Kassidy Sjostrand from Caitlin Dempsey made it 2-2 tie to finish out the period and regulation time. In Overtime, at 3:37 of the 5 minute period, Tatum Shand could not stop the scoring against and Tessa Wilson scored the game winner assisted by Dempsey.
In an uncharacteristically low shooting match, Rebels goaltender Shand saw 18 shots on goal while Weyburn goaltender Jane Kish saw 21.
The Rebels travel during Grey Cup Weekend to Saskatoon for 2 tough matches against the Stars. Next game will be in Saskatoon at the Agriplace West Rink on Saturday at 7:45 pm.

Rebels beat Weyburn
In a closely played match Thursday night (Nov. 14/13) the Regina Rebels beat the Weyburn Gold Wings with a score of 1-0. In the first period, Chelsea Perepeluk scored assisted by Marlee Clarkson and Emma Waldenberger. The remaining periods were scoreless. Goaltender Summer Roberts saw 24 shots on goal while Jane Kish saw 22.
Weyburn hosts the Regina Rebels on Wednesday, November 20th at 8:15.

Short Road Trip to Victory
At the Notre Dame Arena in Wilcox on Tuesday night, November 12th (2013) the Rebels finished victorious over the Hounds. Period 1 Vayda Kotyk scored assisted by sisters Lilla and Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch. Period 2, Captain Emma Waldenberger scored from assists by Santana Gravelle and Madison Hammond. Then Delaney Frey scored assisted by Chelsea Perepeluk and Waldenberger. Finally, Waldenberger popped another goal in from J. Carpenter-Boesch and Perepeluk.
Period 2 saw one more goal from Frey assisted by Erica Rieder and Marlee Clarkson. The Hounds got busy scoring 2 goals: Robin Nimegeers from Delayne Aikens and Mackenzie Kuffner scoring assisted by MackKenzie Prouse and Maeve McGauley. The final score is 5-2 Rebels.
Rebels’ goaltender Tatum Shand was in net while Kylee Styles played in net for the Hounds. Shots on goal were 13 taken on Shand to 51 taken on Styles.
Rebels’ next game action is Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Cooperators. Weyburn Gold Wings will be visiting.

#18 Emma Waldenberger Named October's Second Star in SFMAAAHL
  The month’s Second Star goes to a graduating player from the Regina Rebels who is in her fourth year of play in the SFMAAAHL. Emma Waldenberger has once again found her way to the top of the league’s scoring stats as she is tied for the scoring lead with 12 points on 7 goals and 5 assists. She has been instrumental in helping the Rebels get off to a perfect 7 and 0 start in 2013-2014. Congrats Emma!
Rebels Cage Bears in 2 Game Weekend Series
(October 26/27) In a weekend match up of 2 games, the Regina Rebels caged up the Prince Albert A&W Bears with 2 wins. Saturday, the Rebels traveled to Moose Jaw to play the Bears in Mosaic Stadium. In the state of the art stadium, the Rebels defeated the Bears 4-2. Goals were scored by Marlee Clarkson, Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch, Emma Waldenberger and Santana Gravelle. Assists were made by Chelsea Perepeluk, Lilla Carpenter-Boesch, Delaney Frey and Waldenberger. Summer Roberts was in goal for the Rebels saving 20 Shots while Jessica Vance of the Bears saved 34.
Sunday, the Rebels hosted Prince Albert at the Cooperators arena. Period one saw 3 Rebels goals scored by Frey, Waldenberger and Lilla Carpenter-Boesch. Assists were gained by Erica Rieder, Perepeluk (2), Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch and Marlee Clarkson. Crystal Berube of the Bears scored one on the Power Play
Period two and three saw more scoring by both teams. Perepeluk, Rieder, Frey, and Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch all scored assisted by these same players as well as Shelby Ballan and Andie Wilyman. Bears' Brittney Yeager and Sierra Glass both scored. The final score was 8 to 3 for the Rebels; shots on goal were 19 for the Bears and 36 for the Rebels.
The Rebels have a break from games for a while: Next Game Action will be Nov. 12th in Wilcox versus the Notre Dame Hounds. Puck drop is 8:00 pm.
Regina Rebels Training with Canada's Finest
On October 22nd, the Regina Rebels took a field trip away from the rink and into a training centre that was very much out of their comfort zone. The RCMP Depot fitness trainers hosted our players in one of the force's training centers. The girls were put through a double circuit of interval training that was very fun but very difficult. In building as a team, the girls did sit ups, push ups, burpees, and boxing moves on moving and stationary targets. The team bonding session was intended as a workout alternative and to show the girls some of what RCMP recruits experience at Depot. The players were sweaty but smiling and laughing throughout as well as after the fitness session. All the Rebels players and staff would like to thank the RCMP for hosting them and for training with them today. It was a terrific experience!
Rebels Defeat Swift Current in Two Game Series
On Saturday, Oct. 19th, the Regina Rebels hosted the Swift Current Wildcats in the first of a 2 game series. Period one on the Power Play, Vayda Kotyk scored assisted by Lilla Carpenter-Boesch and Andie Wilyman. In Period two, Delaney Frey scored assisted by Chelsea Perepeluk and again assisted by Emma Waldenberger. There was no further scoring and the Wildcats could not answer the Rebels ending the game with a final score of 3-0 Rebels. Jasey Book played goal for the Wildcats and saved 28 shots while the Rebels Summer Roberts earned the shut out with 12 shots on goal.
On Sunday, Oct 20th, the second game was a bit tighter ending 2-1 for the Rebels. In Period one Waldenberger scored assisted by Marlee Clarkson and Wilyman. In Period two Waldenberger scored again assisted by Clarkson. This goal was answered by Brenna Thomson of the Wildcats assisted by Brooklyn Haubrich and Karlie Bell. There was no scoring in the Third period. In net for the Rebels, Tatum Shand stopped 16 shots while Wildcat Brooklyn Weisgerber stopped 36 shots on goal.
Next Game Action will be played at Mosaic Stadium in Moose Jaw, Saturday, October 26th at 7:30 pm when the Rebels host the Prince Albert A&W Bears.

Rebels Trap Bears in P. A.
In our season's first league matches, the Regina Rebels played a 2 game series hosted by the Prince Albert A & W Bears. Friday night's scoring started for the Rebels; Marlee Clarkson scored assisted by Emma Waldenberger and Delaney Frey. Frey scored the only other goal in the second period. Shots on Rebels goaltender Tatum Shand were 32 while Jessica Vance of P.A. stopped 25.
Saturday afternoon at the Art Hauser Arena the game's goaltenders, Summer Roberts for the Rebels and Jessica Vance for the Bears, were kept very busy - each team let loose 26 shots on goal. The final score was 3-1 for the Rebels: Waldenberger opened the scoring assisted by Andie Wilyman, Waldenberger scored again assisted by Chelsea Perepeluk and Clarkson on the powerplay, and finally Lilla Carpenter-Boesch scored the third goal assisted by Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch. The Bears scored a single but couldn't come back from the deficit. The final score was 3-1 Rebels.
Rebels next game action is at home for our season opener on Wednesday, October 16th at 7:45 pm in Rink #6 at the Cooperators Arena.

The Regina Rebels flew to Hamilton, ON this past weekend to attend the Stoney Creek Midget AAA Showcase. The Rebels won matches against Brampton, Stoney Creek the host team, Etobicoke, and Mississauga. On Sunday, Sept 8th, Regina faced off against Shaftesbury Prep School's Titans and lost 2-0 finishing in the tournament 5th overall in a huge list of 64 teams invited to the tournament. It was a tremendous showing for our team since we have only practiced together a few days before the tournament. Thank-you's go out to our wonderful parents who attended and helped with food and many other duties in Hamilton. As well, thanks to our coaches and players for a wonderful first tournament experience.

Rob Harvey Hired for Coaching Staff
The Regina Rebels are pleased to announce the addition of Rob Harvey to their coaching staff. Rob brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and experience. Rob is a former captain and four year member of the Western Hockey League’s Moose Jaw Warriors and was recently inducted into the Moose Jaw Warrior Hall of Fame. After his junior hockey career Rob attended the training camp with the Quebec Nordiques. After a year of professional hockey Rob went on to attend the University of Regina to continue playing hockey and complete a degree in Business Administration. During his time with the Cougar men 's hockey team, Rob was a CIS and Canada West all-star, a two -year team captain and currently holds the all-time University record for points and games played. Rob resides in Regina and is married with two daughters. The Regina Rebels welcome Rob to our staff.

Regina Rebels Prep Camp Update
Thank-you to all the players who registered for the Fall Preparation Camp which runs August 17 to 21st, 2013. This camp is open to any female player who is registering in Pee Wee division or older and who wants a chance to prepare for fall hockey. All ice times are at the Cooperators' rink #3. Rebels Alumnus McGauley Honored for Academics at Yale
New Haven, Conn., USA: The Regina Rebels alumnus Patricia McGauley has been named to the 2012-2013 ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team, which was announced by the league Wednesday. McGauley is studying Psychology at Yale while playing hockey for the Yale Bulldogs University women's program. McGauley played 3 years for the Rebels finishing in 2009-2010. Congratulations Patricia on receiving this honour for the 3rd year in a row!
Perepeluk to Continue as Head Coach
The Regina Rebels are pleased to announce that Hockey Regina Inc. has formally appointed Kim Perepeluk Head Coach of the Rebels for the 2013-14 season.
We are all looking forward to another successful year under the guidance of Coach Kim.
REGINA REBELS FITNESS PROGRAM OPEN FOR ANY BANTAM/MIDGET PLAYERS
The Regina Rebels off-season conditioning program begins on Monday, May 27th and is for current Rebel players or any bantam/midget aged girls aspiring to one day play for the Rebels. The goal is to leave each workout a better athlete! Many of the Rebels top players started training in this program prior to making the team. There are monthly and drop-in rates available. Esso Cup 2013 Retrospective
 It was a long, successful week at the Esso Cup for the Regina Rebels. We won 3 games and lost 4, we finished in the top 4 teams in the country, we were competitive in every game and we finished 2nd in the tournament in the Round Robin. The Esso Cup was a tremendous opportunity for the girls to see the quality of play in other regions in the country. The keynote speakers at the awards banquet, Cheryl Pounder and Caroline Oulette, inspired us to reach for our dreams and to remember all of the wonderful things hockey can bring to our lives.

Esso Cup Semi Finals Begin
After today's play and the Rebels win over Team Atlantic, we are sitting in the position of 2nd place in the top 4 - a spot in the Semi Finals.
The second place Regina Rebels will face off in the first semifinal of the day at 2 p.m. PT on Friday, April 26 against third place LHFDQ Nord (Quebec). The first place Edmonton Thunder will play in the second semifinal of the day Friday at 6 p.m. PT, against whoever wins Thursday’s game between the North Bay Ice Boltz (Ontario) and host team Fraser Valley Phantom.

April 12, 2013 Rebels Extend a Message of Thanks
The Regina Rebels organization would like to say Thank-you to our hosts and competitors the Pembina Valley Hawks of Morden, Manitoba and surrounding areas. On April 5th and 6th, 2013 we played for the Western Female Championship in Morden and were met with generous hosts, enthusiastic fans, terrific facilities and highly skilled hockey talent. The Rebels wish the graduating Hawks players all the best in their promising futures and a relaxing and enjoyable off-season to all Hawks players, coaches and fans. We look forward to playing against you next season.
Rebels Win the West
In an incredibly exciting match, Game 2 of our 3 game series against the Pembina Valley Hawks (defending champions), the Rebels won the series. In yet another sudden death overtime Saturday night, all hearts stopped with every scramble at the net, every shot taken, and every shift change of the night. The two teams were very evenly matched so the game was tough to win.
It was a Hollywood script come to life in Period 1 when Pembina was awarded a penalty shot. Lauryn Keen deked and held onto the puck right at the last moment popping it in past the toe of our goalie Tatum Shand. The Hawks crowd went wild. The Rebels remained patient.
After a scoreless 2nd period, Teah Anderson tied the game up at 15:28 in the 3rd period. The clock ran out and we found ourselves in sudden death O-T again. Tension palpable, our fans hung on every shift change, every battle on the boards, every shot and every scrum at the net. Finally, Hannah Heisler broke free of the Hawks defense and scored the game winning goal at 5:47 of the 10 minute overtime period. Brittni Mowat stopped 30 shots, while Tatum Shand stopped 34 in net tonight.
The Regina Rebels had won, the girls enjoyed their victory receiving a cup and banner, and drank it all in all the while wondering about...what will come next.
Our win Saturday night garnered us the Western Midget Female Championship and a place at the Esso Cup in Burnaby, BC for the week of April 21 to 27th. Congratulations to all the Regina Rebels and coaching staff on the win. Thanks to all Rebels parents who came to support, supported from home, and made the weekend run smoothly all the way to our victory.

In the first game of the Western championship final series against the Pembina Valley Hawks, the Regina rebels won in Overtime!! Score in Period one was 0-0 and shots on goal were even 10-10. By the end of period 2, Delaney Frey scored assisted by Hannah Heisler and Leah Bohlken which was answered by Pembina's Cassidy Carels' goal sending us into a tie for Period 3. Shots on goal were 22-20 for Pembina. An exciting game, the girls skated fast and kept it clean allowing little effective offensive drive to our net. The third period saw the Rebels break the tie when Kelsey Bohay scored unassisted. With a mere 11 seconds left in the third period Pembina Valley tied it up when they took the one-man advantage and pulled their goalie.
Overtime was tense but our chance came when Pembina took two penalties within seconds of each other. We had the 2-man advantage and were able to pull away their defence to allow for a beautiful wrist shot from Leah Bohlken at the blue line. Game ended in OT 3-2 Rebels. Tatum Shand played a remarkable game seeing 30 shots. She kept her cool in more than one scrum at the net. Pembina's goalie Brittni Mowat saw 34 shots.

Rebels Travel to Manitoba for Regional Challenge
The Regina Rebels have advanced to Regional finals which will be held in Morden, Manitoba this weekend, April 5 to 7th. This is a best of 3 game series and will be played against the Pembina Valley Hawks. The Rebels are well-rested, practiced and pumped to begin the next series. Go Rebels Go!!

Regina Rebels Take the Fedoruk Cup!
On Tuesday, March 26th, the Regina Rebels played the 3rd match in a 5 game series against Prince Albert A&W Bears. The anticipation surrounding this game was palpable, the fans were numerous and the Rebels were ready.
In Period 1, Emma Waldenberger scored assisted by Chelsea Perepeluk and Melissa Murray. Almost immediately after, Kelsey Bohay popped one in the PA net, scoring unassisted. Then Leah Bohlken scored assisted by Erica Rieder and Emma Waldenberger. And finally to round out the period's 4 goals, Bohay fed the puck to Jylelle Carpenter- Boesch who scored the 4th goal.
No goals were scored in Period 2, but then in Period 3 Waldenberger squeaked one by PA's goaltender scoring our 5th goal and her second of the night.
Tatum Shand stood strong in the Rebels' net tonight saving all 32 of Prince Albert's shots. Goalkeeping was split by Jessica Vance and Sarah Olson who collectively saved 29 shots on goal.
The Rebels would like to thank all of their fans who came out to watch them take the Championship tonight. It was a big crowd! After the game, the players took pictures and spent some time with their fans. Click HERE for pictures of tonight's events.

Rebels Sweep Speedy Creek in 2014 Semi-Final Series
Sunday night in front of one of our best crowds of the season, the Regina Rebels clinched their well deserved spot in the Final Series of the 2013-2014 season after beating the Diamond Energy Wildcats of Swift Current 1-0. Summer Roberts recorded the shut out in net for the Rebels and the lone goal came from a beautiful shot taken by Delaney Frey assisted by Erica Rieder and Eleanor Lekach. This game ended the series with the Rebels winning 3 games in the best of 5 series.
Next game action will be March 22nd 1 pm in C6 arena against the winner of the series between Prince Albert and Weyburn.

In our league's Scoring standings 4 Regina Rebels dominate the highest positions: Congratulations to Chelsea Perepeluk who is ranked first with 59 points, Emma Waldenberger second with 56 points, Delaney Frey third with 50 points and Marlee Clarkson who is 4th place in the league with 30 points.
Congratulations to both our goaltenders for ranking in the top 4 goaltenders of our league: Summer Roberts who places second and Tatum Shand who is the 4th highest ranked goaltender.

Rebels Quash Sharks Playoff Chances
In 3 games to none the Regina Rebels defeated the Battlefords Sharks and move on to Round 2 of the SMFAAAHL league playoffs. Game 1 was a nail-biter that finished in OT, Rebels 3-2. In net, Tatum Shand stopped 22 shots and Jamie Powers saved 46. Scoring for the Rebels were: Marlee Clarkson, Erica Rieder, Santana Gravelle and Emma Waldenberger
Game 2 was held in Battlefords on Feb. 27, 2014. The Rebels defeated the Sharks 4-0; Goal scorers were Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch, Delaney Frey, Emma Waldenberger, and Chelsea Perepeluk. Goaltender Summer Roberts saved 31 shots while Rachel Michell saved 24.
Game 3, at the Cooperators Centre on March 2nd, solidified our campaign to remain undefeated in Round 1. The Rebels beat the Sharks 10-0 with Tatum Shand earning the shutout. Goal scorers were: Waldenberger for a hat-trick, Lilla Carpenter-Boesch for 2, Perepeluk, J. Carpenter-Boesch for 2, Andie Wilyman and Rieder.
Round 2 will begin on March 11th. Our opponent is to be determined. Go Rebels Go!
Rebels Alumnae Receive Honours
The Regina Rebels would like to congratulate 2 former players who recently received a very impressive honour. Defenseman Nikki Watters-Matthes (U. of Regina Cougars and Rebels 2013 alumna) and forward Hannah Heisler (UBC Thunderbirds and Rebels 2013 alumna) were named to the Canada West Rookie Team. This is truly an honour and we as Rebels are very proud of both Nikki and Hannah. Great job ladies!!
As well, former Regina Rebel Jenny MacKnight of the OUA was named Player of the Year! MacKnight in her 4th season with the University of Windsor led the OUA with 40 points and earned a berth on the All Star Team. We are proud of Jenny and send our congratulations to her and her parents Leigh Anne and Doug MacKnight. Great job Jenny!
Rebels Graduating Players 2014
 On Thursday, Feb. 13 the Rebels hosted the Melville Prairie Fire for our last league game of the 2013-2014 season. This night was especially memorable for 5 of our players, all of whom are in Grade 12 and will be graduating from the Regina Rebels program. Team Captain Emma Waldenberger, Assistant Captain Erica Rieder, Assistant Captain Eleanor Lekach, Forward Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch and Goaltender Summer Roberts are all looking forward to promising post-secondary careers and working as leaders in female hockey in the future. Blowout in the Battlefords
The Regina Rebels swept the North Battleford Sharks 2 games to 0 in weekend play in the Battlefords. Saturday the final score was 8-1 for the Rebels. Scoring goals: Lilla Carpenter-Boesch (4 Goals), Vayda Kotyk, Chelsea Perepeluk, Andie Wilyman, and Delaney Frey.
Sunday's game ended with a score of 6-1 for the Rebels. Scoring goals: Emma Waldenberger (3 goals), Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch (2 Goals), and Chelsea Perepeluk.
The Rebels travel to Swift Current for 2 games on February 1st and 2nd at the Fairfield West Arena. This final weekend league trip will leave the Rebels with only 2 more league games: Feb 5th @ Melville and Feb. 12th in Regina vs the Notre Dame Hounds. Playoff action begins in Regina on February 26th (Opponent TBD).

The Regina Rebels will be hosting the Rock the Rink and Alumni Christmas Event this coming Friday, December 21st. Rebels will play Saskatoon at 2:00 pm in Arena C6 of the Cooperators Centre. We will have a banner presentation event during the game and then a reception after in the Western Pizza lounge for Rebels, families, and alumni.

The weekend was a frigid and busy weekend at the Notre Dame Showcase 2013 held in Wilcox, SK this past weekend. The Rebels played Notre Dame AAA, St. Francis Xavier from Edmonton, the Winnipeg Avros, Winnipeg Westmen and Winnipeg Shaftsbury Titans. The results from those matches were a win, a loss, a tie, a win and finally a loss. In typical Rebels style we out shot most of our opponents but we couldn't score enough goals to move forward further than 6th place out of 16 teams invited.
Next action for the Rebels is Thursday Dec. 12 when we host Weyburn Gold Wings. Puck drop will be at 7:45 pm in C6 at the Cooperators Centre.

Regina Rebels Split Results on Weekend Trip to Toon Town.
In weekend action, the Rebels played a double header against the Saskatoon Stars. The first match went to the Rebels. In period one Marlee Clarkson scored assisted by Chelsea Perepeluk and Erica Rieder. Then came a second goal from Vayda Kotyk, assisted by Perepeluk and Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch. Stars forward Jenna Nash scored from Brittany Heuchert and Sophia Shirley. In Period 2, the Stars Danielle Nogier scored from Brooklyn Gillanders and Heuchert. In period 3, Rebels Andie Wilyman scored from J. Carpenter-Boesch and Santana Gravelle. Goaltender Summer Roberts saved 14 shots while Emma Johnson saved 26 shots.
On Sunday, the Rebels and Stars met again ending in a victory for the Stars. The Stars began with a bang capitalizing on the Power Play and scoring at 19:24; Shirley scored from Julia Rongve and Nara Elia. Then Rongve scored from Shirley and Elia. In Period 2, Stars Shirley scored again from Laura Goebel and Kennedy Mann. Emma Waldenberger scored for the Rebels from Perepeluk and Clarkson. Finally the last goal was from the Rebels but it wasn’t enough; J. Carpenter-Boesch scored from Waldenberger. Goaltender Tatum Shand saved 22 shots while Stars’ goalie Johnson saved 31.

On Wednesday night, March 20th, the Rebels traveled to P. A. with hopeful anticipation about the match and some trepidation about the weather. Period one was all Rebels offense - Captain Hannah Heisler scored the period's only goal. Although the second period was scoreless P. A. came out to play and showed us some of their offensive skills. The third period started off scoreless until at 14:26 in the period, Lexi van Camp scored assisted by Payton Ostrom and Megan Sloboshan. The game remained tied until Delaney Frey forced one in sent to the net by Chelsea Perepeluk and Missy Murray.
The Rebels were storm-stayed in Saskatoon due to the extreme blizzard conditions and high winds. We will be looking forward to staying home for Game 3 of the series. Please come out to the Cooperators arena on Tuesday, March 26th at 7:30 to watch our Rebels take on Prince Albert. Go Rebels Go!
Rebels Open Final Series at Home
Tonight the Rebels hosted the Prince Albert Bears in Game one of the final series. In Period one, Vayda Kotyk scored assisted by Andie Wilyman and Eleanor Lekach. Period 2 saw no goals. Delaney Frey scored in the third assisted by Teah Anderson and Emma Waldenberger.
Tatum Shand took her shutout in net for the Rebels tonight making 34 saves. For the Bears, goaltender Jessica Vance saved 30 shots.

Rebels Sweep Saskatoon in Series 2
Series 2 of SFMAAAHL playoffs went to the Rebels in Game 3 of a 3 game sweep over Saskatoon Stars. We were hardly back in our seats after O Canada was played when Emma Waldenberger scored assisted from Talia Terry at the 8 second mark. Delaney Frey took one assisted by Alyssa Hein at 14:09 of the first period. Saskatoon replied with Emma Yanko's goal from Haley Girolami at 10:04. Frey drilled in her second goal a mere 30 seconds later which ended the Rebels scoring and the period. Teah Anderson assisted Frey's goal.
In Period 2, Kennedy Harris snuck one in from Yanko and Hailey Tyndall. That would be the last of the goals scored for the night. The Rebels won the match 3-2. Tatum Shand stopped 27 shots while Samantha Ridgewell stopped 28.
Rebels await the victor of the Weyburn-Prince Albert series to know who our next opponent will be for the Championship Final.

Rebels Great Start to Series 2 of Playoffs
Saturday night at the Cooperators Arena, victory was not in the stars for Saskatoon. The Regina Rebels met the Saskatoon Stars for the first of Series 2 in SFMAAAHL action. Opening the scoring Hannah Heisler banged one in from Vayda Kotyk and Kelsey Bohay. Emma Waldenberger scored for the Rebels assisted by Heisler and Teah Anderson to finish off the first period.
A Saskatoon goal by Amber Rennie assisted by Kori Herner opened the second period, but the Rebels didn't take long to answer Saskatoon's goal. Talia Terry of the Rebels scored on a pass from Delaney Frey and Eleanor Lekach. The final goal of Period 2 was scored by Heisler assisted by Emma Waldenberger.
Heisler would capture her hat-trick in Period 3 tapping a soft one through Saskatoon goaltender Samantha Ridgewell's legs scoring unassisted on a breakaway. That goal would be the end Ridgewell's time in net tonight. In net for the remaining eleven minutes was Karlee Fetch. After a miscue between Stars goalie and defenseman Charlie Elke, Rebel's Waldenberger was assigned the final goal of the night which made the score 6-1 Rebels. Saskatoon's Ridgewell saw 38 shots on goal, Fetch saw 5 and Rebels goaltender Tatum Shand saw 21.
In the second game of the series played in Saskatoon Sunday, the Regina Rebels beat the Stars 3-1. Anderson, Frey and Bohay all scored singles. Rebels Tatum Shand stopped 17 saves. Kennedy Harris scored for Saskatoon and goaltender Samantha Ridgewell stopped 37 shots on goal.

Series 1 Wraps Up
Sunday night at the Cooperators, under the veil of hopefully our last blizzard this winter, the Regina Rebels defeated the Battleford Sharks with a score of 4-3. The Rebels' roster was missing 3 of our players who were mending physical ailments. We would like to thank Peyton Mallory and Sydney Simpson of the Midget AA Capitals for stepping in and playing in their places.
In the first period, Emma Waldenberger opened up the scoring assisted by Hannah Heisler. Next, Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch scored from Eleanor Lekach and Chelsea Perepeluk. Mallory Roy of the Sharks answered with their first goal assisted by Keinyn Nordell. Finishing out the period, Vayda Kotyk scored our 3rd goal assisted by Heisler and Waldenberger.
Period 2 opened with the Sharks scoring a goal at 17:34: Morgan Fraser assisted by Brooke Lonoway. Jetta Derenoski assisted by Nordell, scored the final goal of the night.
In Period 3 Waldenberger took her second of the night unassisted getting us our 4th goal. The game ended 4-3 Rebels. Great Job Rebels!!!

Rebels Victory Gain Not Without Pain
In the first two games of Series 1 of the SFMAAAL playoffs, the Regina Rebels have shown they are determined to reel in the big catch. Sharks busy goaltender Jacy Akre saved 43 shots of the 48 we sent her way. Rae McClintock had an amazing game deterring any dealings in front of her crease. Of the 13 they shot on goal she saved them all and gained her shutout.
Singles were scored by Rebels Teah Anderson, Delaney Frey, and Hannah Heisler; Emma Waldenberger put in 2 for the final score of 5-0 Rebels.
Last night in Game 2, we traveled to the Battlefords. A tense atmosphere set the scene for some exciting hockey. The game was fast but spent mostly in the Sharks own end: goals were scored by Erica Rieder, Talia Terry, Chelsea Perepeluk, Heisler and 2 for Frey. Sharks goaltenders shared duty: Akre saved 42 while Rachel Michel saved 6. Rebels goaltender Tatum Shand saved all 12 shots sent her way. A physical game, our slightly banged up Rebels roster got home late, but with the lead in the series.
Game 3 of the series is in Regina: Cooperator's Centre, Sunday, March 5th at 5:45 pm.
Playoffs Begin This Week
The Rebels begin the first round of playoffs against the Battlefords Sharks whose current record is 3-22-0. We hope to see our faithful and supportive fans in the stands for the first of a best of 5 series beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, February 26th at 7:30 at the Cooperators Rink #6.

Rebels Make History in Much Anticipated Match Up
The Regina Rebels made history for the organization this past weekend. After winning both games against the second place Prince Albert A&W Bears in a series played on Saturday and Sunday (Feb 16 & 17), the Rebels have tied for the top finishing stats in regular league play and have set a new league record for the least number of goals scored against. Rebels' regular league play ends with 27 wins and one "over time" loss, 131 Goals For and 19 Goals Against.
On Saturday the Rebels won 2-0. Hannah Heisler scored a pair of goals while Tatum Shand had the shutout with 29 saves. Jessica Vance stopped 30 shots for P.A.
On Sunday the Rebels won 3-1. Heisler scored two; Emma Waldenberger also scored for the Rebels. Brooke Hobson scored the lone goal for the Bears. Rae McClintock stopped 24 shots for the Rebels while Sarah Olson kept out 25 for P.A.

Hounds Shut Out in Regina
The Regina Rebels beat the Notre Dame Hounds 6-0 Wednesday evening, February 13th at the Co-operators Centre.
Stopping 14 shots, Tatum Shand had the shutout in net making it "Lucky Number 7" in regular season shut outs for the rookie goalie.
Emma Waldenberger scored two for the Rebels; Melissa Murray, Delaney Frey, and Hannah Heisler scored. As well, defenseman Erica Rieder scored her first regular season goal. in net for the Hounds, Laura Wiebe stopped 43 shots.
The Rebels will play a pair of games at the Co-operators Centre this weekend against the Prince Albert A&W Bears. Saturday puck drop is 12:00 noon; on Sunday the game will begin at 4:30 pm.

Congratulations Regina Rebels on a capturing first place in the Sask. Female Midget AAA Hockey League! The Rebels are first in the league among 8 teams. Many hours of practice, drills, skating, off-ice conditioning, travel, planning, coaching and much much more have gone into this remarkable achievement. Your fans and families are very proud of you.
Graduating Players Signed onto College Futures
Exciting news has been confirmed for our graduating players Nikki Watters-Matthes, Teah Anderson, and Hannah Heisler. These girls are looking ahead to continuing their elite hockey careers in post-secondary institutions. Nikki Watters-Matthes has been signed by the University of Regina Cougars women's hockey team for the 2013-2014 season. Watters-Matthes is considering her options; she is interested in either Education or Nursing as areas of study at the U. of R.. Anderson has signed with St. Thomas University women's hockey team in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Teah plans to major in Psychology. Heisler has been signed by the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds women's hockey team. Heisler is considering a Kinesiology undergrad degree intending to enter the college of Law one day.

Rebels Successful in Swift
The Regina Rebels played a two-game series in Swift Current over the February 2nd weekend. Both games were won by the Rebels.
On Saturday, February 2nd, the Rebels defeated the Diamond Energy Wildcats by a score of 6-0. Emma Waldenberger picked up two goals; Hannah Heisler, Melissa Murray, Teah Anderson, and Delaney Frey scored singles. Veteran goaltender Rae McClinock stopped seven shots while Moriah Andrews kept out 25.
On Sunday, February 3rd, in a tight game peppered with penalties, the Rebels won 2-1. Heisler and Talia Terry scored for the Rebels while Tori Carlson scored for the Wildcats. Rebels goaltender Tatum Shand stopped 15 shots for the Rebels while Brooklyn Weisgarber kept out 26 for the Wildcats.
The Rebels next play Wednesday night at 6 pm in Notre Dame.
Penalty-Riddled Victory for Rebels in Melville
On Wednesday, January 30th, the Regina Rebels traveled to Melville to play the Fox FM Prairie Fire. In a match fraught with no less than 36 penalty minutes, the Rebels came home with a victory winning 3-1 over the Prairie Fire.
Period one saw Emma Waldenberger scoring off passes from Delaney Frey and Nikki Watters-Matthes. Brooklyn McKenna of the Prairie Fire answered with a goal soon after. Then Teah Anderson scored one assisted by Erica Rieder and Waldenberger scored again unassisted. That would be all of the scoring for the entire game. Periods 2 and 3 saw no goals but plenty of whistles blown for penalty calls. The Rebels served 18 minutes in the box while Melville matched us evenly with 18 minutes as well. Among Melville's infractions there were two 4 minute penalties; one was for Butt Ending and the other was for Head Contact.
Goaltender Tatum Shand of the Rebels kept out 23 shots, while Melville's Nicole Clay stopped 21.

Rebels Outstanding National Ranking a Badge of Honour
The website http://myhockeyrankings.com provides a calculated summary of teams from all over the U. S. and Canada in a ranking system. The ranking system is composed by providing the site with team stats (thank-you Melinda Anderson for all the hours you've spent entering data) and then a comparison is made against teams of the same caliber across the country.
The Regina Rebels program has achieved a huge success this year and the team is ranked 5th out of 110 female U17 Tier1 teams in all of Canada! The Rebels ranking of 92.66 is only a 0.97 difference from the #1 ranked team in the country, demonstrating that our rating is incredibly high and incredibly close to the top team in the country.
Congratulations, coaches, management, and players for rating so high among the most elite teams in the country. Fifth overall is a tremendous achievement and you should all be proud of your contribution to the program!

Rebels Blast Sharks out of the Water in Weekend Sweep
The Regina Rebels won a pair of games this weekend over the North Battleford Sharks.
The Rebels won 13-0 on Saturday, January 19th. Emma Waldenberger and Delaney Frey each scored four goals. Andie Wilyman added two while Talia Terry, Teah Anderson and Chelsea Perepeluk also scored. Tatum Shand stopped 18 shots for the shutout. Jacy Akre and Rachel Mitchell split time in net and stopped 56 shots.
On Sunday, January 20th, the Rebels won 4-0. Kelsey Bohay, Hannah Heisler, Waldenberger and Vayda Kotyk scored. Rae McClintock had the shutout with 17 saves. Akre stopped 40 shots for North Battleford.
The Rebels remain in first place in the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League with a record of 20 wins and one overtime loss. They next play January 30th in Melville.

The Regina Rebels finished the Regina Rebels Summit Tournament in second place this weekend, losing 4-3 to the Pembina Valley Hawks in the A Final on Sunday. Teah Anderson, Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch and Hannah Heisler scored for the Rebels in the final; Cassidy Carels and Lauryn Keen each scored two for the Hawks. Rae McClintock stopped 16 shots for the Rebels while Brittni Mowat kept out 31 for the Hawks.
The Rebels began the tournament with a 5-2 win over the Hawks. Delaney Frey scored the hat trick for the Rebels, while Emma Waldenberger and Heisler also scored for the Rebels. Kate Friesen and Keen scored for the Hawks. Tatum Shand stopped 30 for the Rebels while Mowat kept out 2.
In a pair of games on Saturday, the Rebels first lost 2-1 to the Saskatoon Stars. Talia Terry scored the lone goal for the Rebels while Hailey Tyndall had a pair of goals for Saskatoon. McClintock stopped 8 shots for the Rebels while Samantha Ridgewell stopped 38 for Saskatoon. The Rebels went on to beat the Red Deer Chiefs 10-1 Saturday night. Anderson, Waldenberger and Chelsea Perepeluk each scored two goals for Regina; Kelsey Bohay, Heisler, Melissa Murray and Terry also scored. Nisa Bartlett scored the lone goal for Red Deer. Shand stopped 14 for the Rebels; Chiefs goaltender Reanna Arnold stopped 36.
The Rebels next play this upcoming weekend in North Battleford, where they will take on the Sharks.

Rebels Snuff Out a Prairie Fire
Wednesday, January 9th, 2013, the Regina Rebels dominated in every way the match played at Melville's impressive Communiplex Arena. Home ice advantage simply didn't ignite the Prairie Fire who lost to the Rebels 11-1. Period One, the Rebels played with spirit and energy beginning the scoring of the game with a give-and-go play from Missy Murray to Chelsea Perepeluk and then to Delaney Frey who scored the match opening goal at 12:24. Then Talia Terry passed to Murray who gave it to Perepeluk; Perepeluk muscled a Melville player out of the crease while waiting for the feed from Murray. Perepeluk scored the second of the night for the Rebels. Melville answered at 5:53 when Bailey Brayden scored on Rebels' Rae McClintock. But the first period was far from being over for the Rebels' relentless offence - at 3:23 deeking and dangling Teah Anderson dazzled the fans with a stunner she slipped past the Melville net-minder Breanne Sanson. Anderson was assisted by defensemen Erica Rieder and Hannah Heisler. And finally at 1:01 Frey scored her second from Perepeluk and Leah Bohlken making the first period score 4-1 Rebels.
Second period was much the same as the first period offensively with the added challenge of killing off 8 minutes of Rebel penalties. At 14:03 Rieder assisted Perepeluk in her second of the night, Wilyman scored unassisted at 6:57 on a power play and then at 3:20 Hannah Heisler batted one in assisted by Emma Waldenberger. Some excitement arose for Melville when they were awarded a penalty shot near the end of the 2nd period. Rebels' goaltender McClintock wasn't having any of that and easily cleaned up the crease while denying Melville's Theresa Lenkhart her opportunity to score on this penalty shot. The second period ended 7-1 Rebels.
The timekeeper had barely flipped the clock's switch starting the third period when, short-handed no less, Frey took her hat-trick at 19:00 minutes in. Then at 15:26, Alyssa Hein and Heisler got the puck to Waldenberger for her first of the night. Rebels' rookie offensive wingers Jyllelle Carpenter-Boesch and Vayda Kotyk handed the puck in sequence to rookie Kelsey Bohay for her first goal of the night. After killing off a couple more penalties and enjoying several power plays to finish off this game, Frey scored her 4th goal of the game from Perepeluk making the final score 11-1. Our Chelsea Perepeluk, recently back after briefly on the injury roster, was honoured by the Melville Fox FM Prairie Fire organization as one of the Stars of the Game. Congratulations Chelsea, great game! And congratulations Rebels on a well-played week-night match.

Rebels Continue Winning Streak
Saturday, January 5th, the Rebels hosted the Wildcats at the Cooperators Centre beating Swift Current 4-1. Rae McClintock denied the Wildcats advances on goal stopping 18 shots on net. Moriah Andrews saw 43 shots on goal allowing 4 goals. Emma Waldenberger strong-armed the Wildcats for 2 goals, Talia Terry and Kelsey Bohay picked up one goal each.
In Sunday's game The Rebels' consistent defensive wall kept shots on goal to a bare minimum of 8 shots for the entire game. Tatum Shand took the shutout while Moriah Andrews endured a 53 shot pelting. Sunday's game ended 3-0 for the Rebels. Hannah Heisler dropped 2 goals. Defenseman Leah Bohlken fired one past Andrews in the second period, Bohlken's 3rd goal of the regular season.
The Rebels play Wednesday, January 9th night in Melville against the Fox FM Prairie Fire.

Welcome back to Rebels' hockey. Please join the Regina Rebels in a two game series against Swift Current: Saturday, January 5th at 3:00 PM and Sunday, January 6th at 1:30 PM at the Cooperators Centre in Regina. The Rebels remain in 1st place and Swift Current is in 7th place.
Hannah Heisler, Teah Anderson and Emma Waldenberger are currently in the first, second and third place for points in the league while Tatum Shand and Rae McClintock hold first and second place in the goaltenders standings in the statistics race.
Weekend Play and Rock the Rink Huge Success
On December 21st and 22nd the Regina Rebels played a two-game series against the Saskatoon Stars maintaining their first place position in the Saskatchewan Female AAA League. Friday night, the Regina Rebels beat Saskatoon 6-1 in the first match. Samantha Ridgewell and Karlee Fetch split Stars' goal-tending duty seeing 43 Rebels' shots on goal while our Rae McClintock denied Saskatoon 18 shots.
Saturday night, December 22nd, the Rebels invited female players of all age divisions as well as Rebels' alumni to our annual Rock the Rink promotional event. Rock the Rink is a chance for the Rebels program to be showcased to all of Hockey Regina players from the female league and on the 22nd we hosted 8 teams of girls at this event. Along with the HRI teams, the many parents, coaches, alumni, friends and family in attendance made for a boisterous and energetic evening of hockey. The Rebels would like to thank the volunteers who organized Rock the Rink and all in attendance for cheering and supporting them.
Saturday's game was exciting! The Rebels beat the Stars 5-1 with single goals going to Nikki Watters-Matthes on power play, Teah Anderson, Kelsey Bohay, Talia Terry and Hannah Heisler on power play. Carisbrooke Macnab scored the single for Saskatoon. In net, Rebels Tatum Shand saw 17 shots on goal while Stars goaltending was split between Samantha Ridgewell and Karlee Fetch who saw 37 shots on goal combined.
The Rebels take a well-deserved break for Christmas and New Year's and then host Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats on Saturday, January 5th at 3:00 pm and on Sunday, January 6th at 1:30 pm.

Rebels Take First Place in League
On Wednesday night, December 19th, it seemed that the Fox FM Prairie Fire couldn't tune it's channel to meet the the wave of scoring offense from the Regina Rebels. Nice work by Rebels' offense brought 8 goals to 7 of our offensive players: Delaney Frey scored 2 goals, Emma Waldenberger, Nikki Watters-Matthes, Melissa Muray, Teah Anderson, Kelsey Bohay and Andie Wilyman all scoring singles. Rebels' goaltender Tatum Shand got the shut-out with 15 shots on goal, while net time was split between Nicole Clay and Breanna Sanson of the Prairie Fire who saw 45 shots on goal. The final score was 8-0 for the Rebels.
Rebels Dominate Two Game Series
Saturday and Sunday began the fishing season at the Cooperators Centre when the Battlefords Sharks entered Rebels infested waters giving up both games of a 2-game series.
Saturday, December 15th, scorekeepers were kept busy in the match ending 12-0 when the Rebels defeated the Sharks in game one. The Rebels dozen was made up of: a hat trick for Teah Anderson, a pair for Hannah Heisler and Delaney Frey; singles for Nikki Watters-Matthes, Erica Rieder, Leah Bohlken, Vayda Kotyk and Emma Waldenberger.
Rookie goalie Tatum Shand had the shutout with 14 saves. Jacy Akre and Rachel Mitchell split time in the Shark net stopping 39 shots.
Sunday, December 16th, in a matinee match up, the Rebels won 2-1. Waldenberger and rookie Andie Wilyman scored for the Rebels; Morgan Lamontagne scored for the Sharks. Akre made 44 saves while Rae McClintock stopped 12.
The Rebels are next on the ice Wednesday night at 7:45 at the Co-operators Centre against the Melville Fox FM Prairie Fire.
Mandi Schwartz Memorial Tournament: Day 4
On the final day of the tournament the Regina Rebels played St. Albert Slash for the B side Championship. In the first period rookie Vayda Kotyk put one in for the Rebels. Ashley Morin answered with a goal from the Slash in the second period and then several minutes went by with Rebels' defense turning it on to shut down the Slash's strong offense. Back and forth play ensued until the Rebels gained a few offensive break-throughs leading to two quick goals by Hannah Heisler and Emma Waldenberger within the last minute of play of the 3rd Period.
Taking part in the Rebels' victory, Rae McClintock was in net and stopped 20 shots to Kaelin Klim's 16 stops in the net for the Slash.
The Rebels next game will be Saturday, December 15th against North Battleford - puck drop 4:30 PM at the Cooperators Centre.
Mandi Schwartz Memorial Tournament: Day 3
Back in action this morning, the Rebels penned up the Notre Dame Hounds in Wilcox. Opening the scoring for the Rebels was rookie Vayda Kotyk followed by Delaney Frey and Chelsea Perepeluk. Shots on goal were 50 to 13 in favour of the Rebels demonstrating the defensive strength of the team once again.
Tonight join us to see the following Rebels in Skills Competition at Notre Dame: Missy Murray competing in Accuracy Shooting, Rae McClintock in Shoot-out Goaltending, Nikki Watters-Mathes, Hannah Heisler, and Teah Anderson competing in Shoot Out, and rookie Kelsey Bohay competing in Fastest Skater. We know you'll make us all proud! Go Rebels!

Mandy Schwartz Memorial Tournament: Day 2
It was a day for the early bird but who wants a worm when you can take home another Rebels win and a shutout for your goaltender rookie Tatum Shand! In the Rebels' game 2 of the Mandy Schwartz Tournament Hannah Heisler scored on Calgary Flames' Alicia Anderson. Anderson stopped 37 Rebels' shots on goal while our Tatum Shand stopped 12.
The game ended with a tempting opportunity for rookie Kelsey Bohay who couldn't resist the empty net goal making the final score 2-0 Rebels. Great job to all the Rebels for taking home a win on such an early morning.

Mandy Schwartz Memorial Tournament: Day 1
High speed, keen effort and outstanding talent visited the Milestone Memorial Arena this afternoon when your Regina Rebels met and tied the St. Mary's Flames in their first game of the Mandy Schwartz Memorial Tournament. In an impassioned match where shots on goal ended at 27 to 17 in favour of the Rebels, the tournament began.
Chelsea Perepeluk and Emma Waldenberger scored singles for the Rebels while Jordyn Zacharias and Randi Marcon scored for the Flames making the game's final score 2-2. Rae McClintock was in goal against St. Mary's Flames.
Friday's schedule includes: Rebels vs the Calgary Flyers at 8 am in Milestone and Rebels vs the Warner Warriors at 6 pm in Notre Dame Arena.

Rebels Capture First Place in the SFMAAAHL League
The Regina Rebels won both games in a home-and-home series this weekend against the Weyburn Southern Range Gold Wings in regular season Midget AAA Hockey League action. With the wins, the Rebels move into first place ahead Prince Albert and Weyburn.
The Rebels beat the Gold Wings 4-0 on Saturday at the Cooperator's Centre. Rae McClintock recorded the shutout with 17 saves while veteran goaltender Jane Kish made 18 saves for the Weyburn squad. Talia Terry scored a deuce along with Emma Waldenberger's and Teah Anderson's singles.
Regina won again on Sunday with a final score of 4-1 in Weyburn. Hannah Heisler scored two for the Rebels; Anderson and Melissa Murray also scored. Tessa Wilson scored the lone goal for the Gold Wings on Rebels goaltender Tatum Shand who recorded the win with 15 saves. Taelor Bayda stopped 34 of our shots for Weyburn.
The Rebels look forward to a busy tournament weekend coming up at the Mandi Schwartz Classic Notre Dame Tournament. Their first game is Thursday at 1:00 pm against the St. Mary’s Titans. Check out the Rebels' Schedule tab for future game times and locations.

Wednesday, November 28th the Notre Dame hounds couldn't skate, shoot or paw their way out of the deep hole dug by your Regina Rebels on Hounds' home ice. Rookie Vayda Kotyk lead the scoring followed by rookie defenseman Leah Bohlken. Veteran centre Teah Anderson continued her scoring trend with 2 goala by the game's end. Hounds' Olivia Ellis scored the only goal for Notre Dame; the final score was 4-1 Rebels. Once again the Rebels took the lead in shots on goal with 32 fired at Laura Wiebe, while the Hounds shot 17 on our rookie goaltender Tatum Shand.

Minneapolis Tournament
The Regina Rebels split today at the Minnesota Thoroughbreds Thanksgiving Tournament. In the morning, the Rebels lost to the Shaftesbury Titans 4 goals to 0. Tatum Shand was the Rebels' net-minder today.
In the evening, the Rebels rallied and defeated the Chicago Young Americans 1 goal to 0. Talia Terry scored the game winner and only goal for the Rebels in this match. The Rebels hurled 49 shots against a busy Young American goaltender Alanna Serviss. Our Rae McClintock saved 19 shots and took the shutout.
Final Day and a Long Ride Home
This morning the Rebels finished the Minnesota Thoroughbred Tournament with a 2 - 0 victory over the Capitals of Madison Wisconsin ( www.madcapgirls.com). Goal scorers were Emma Waldenberger and Teah Anderson. Tatum Shand got the shutout in goal with 14 saves today.
Out of a total of 16 elite teams, Regina finished the tournament with a 3 and 1 record ending in 5th place overall. The girls should be proud of their showing. Thanks so much for all the help and support from the team staff and the attending parents who made the weekend a success. Great job Rebels and families!

Black Friday Match a Great "Deal" for Rebels
Our Regina Rebels played late in Day 1 of the Minnesota Thoroughbreds' 2012 Thanksgiving Tournament. In the Rebels' opening match versus Manitoba's Yellowhead Chiefs, Emma Waldenberger opened up the scoring in the first period. Besides Waldenberger, both Hannah Heisler with one and Teah Anderson with 2 goals bested the Chiefs' goaltender. The Chiefs' goalie held out 23 shots on goal to Rebels' goalie Rae McClintock's 6. The game was decidedly our victory ending 4-1 for the Rebels.
Saturday's games will see the Rebels square off in 2 games versus Shaftsberry, a prep school from Manitoba, and the Chicago Young Americans.

After a scoreless first period Wednesday night (November 14th), the Regina Rebels came out to extinguish the Melville Fire. Veteran Teah Anderson along with rookies Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch and Vayda Kotyk scored for the Rebels. Rebel rookie net-minder Tatum Shand stopped 15 shots for the Rebels. Brianna Sanson, Melville Fire goalie, kept out 39 shots. The Regina Rebels will be off to Minneapolis Minnesota on Thursday for a 3 day tournament hosted by the Minnesota Thoroughbreds. We wish the players, coaches, management staff and accompanying parents a safe trip. Cheer loudly for all the Rebel fans who aren't able to be there. Go Rebels Go!!

Rebels Showing in Prince Albert a Mixed Bag
On Friday, October 26th, 2012 the Regina Rebels travelled to take on the P. A. A&W Bears in Melfort for the first game of a weekend double header that saw them take home 3 out of a possible 4 points overall. P. A., a strong opponent, came out ready to play making the victory a challenging one. Eventually the game was ours: Talia Terry, Teah Anderson, Chelsea Perepeluk and Delaney Frey scored singles while Tylor Lindsay dropped one for P. A. Bear’s goalie Jessica Vance stopped 25 shots and our Tatum Shand denied 18 shots for the Rebels.
Then on Saturday, October 27th, the Rebels played P. A. in Prince Albert. This too was an eventful match ending 3-2 in a shootout! Unfortunately, victory eluded our Regina team. Emma Waldenberger and Hannah Heisler scored for the Rebels. Scoring for P. A. was Kelly Regnier and Kaitlin Willoughby. Overtime was scoreless, then in the shootout Willoughby scored as well as Lindsay. Goaltender Vance stopped 36 shots in net for the Bears while our Rebel Rae McClintock stopped 19 shots.
Home games return us to the Cooperators on November 14th at 7:45 p.m. against the Melville Prairie Fire.

Stars Extinguished by Rebels' Roadtrip Sweep
The twinkle went out on the Saskatoon Stars this past weekend when our Regina Rebels travelled to challenge Saskatoon on their own ice. During Saturday's evening game the Rebels pummelled Stars goalie Samantha Ridgewell with 37 shots earning them 3 goals. Rebels scoring trio was Teah Anderson, Hannah Heisler, and Emma Waldenberger. Rebels netminder Tatum Shand stopped 15 shots and Hayley Tyndall scored Saskatoon's lone goal.
On Sunday, October 21st, the Rebels trio of Waldenberger, Heisler and Anderson continued their scoring streak during the Rebels' matinee victory ending 4-1. Emma Waldenberger drilled in 2 goals along with singles from Hannah Heisler and Teah Anderson. Kori Herner scored the single for Saskatoon. Goalie Rae McClintock denied Saskatoon's scoring attempts stopping 23 shots while Saskatoon goaltender Samantha Ridgewell stopped 26.
The wins in Saskatoon this past weekend earned our Regina Rebels a 5-0 record in the Saskatchewan Midget Female AAA Hockey League. SMFAAAL stats on all the league players and teams can be found at: http://www.sfmaaahl.com
The Regina Rebels continue on the road next weekend when they meet the Prince Albert A&W Bears in Melfort Friday night at 7:30. The players, coaches and management staff would like to thank all the parents who volunteered for duties on the Saskatoon trip.
Rebels' Accomplishments Go Beyond the Rink
The Regina Rebels hockey team is an organization that prides itself on our players achieving exemplary standards and accomplishments both on and off the ice. Last week at the Dr. Martin LeBoldus High School academic awards night, Rebel Eleanor Lekach received high accolades for her incredible academic achievements. Lekach, a second year defenseman with the Rebels, earned highest marks in individual course awards for Physics 20, History 10, AP English 10(A and B), Math Foundations 20 and highest average overall for Grade 10 and for the Grade 10 French Immersion program with an average of 96.9%. The Rebels staff and players congratulate Eleanor on her hard work and academic achievements.
On a blustery Wednesday night in Regina, our Rebels chained up the Notre Dame hounds at the Cooperators Arena. After 2 periods of play it seemed like the night would end in a one-all tie even though the shots on goal were decidedly in our favour. However, there would be relief followed by a solid lead for the Rebels with 2 goals in the third period. Scoring goals for the Rebels were Kelsey Bohay, Hannah Heisler and Emma Waldenberger. Notre Dame Hound Maeve McGauley scored the lone goal for her squad. Goaltender Rae McClintock saved 17 shots while Hounds' goalie Summer Roberts saw a whopping 40 shots come her way.
The Regina Rebels would like to thank all fans in attendance of Wednesday's game. The team goes on the road to meet the Saskatoon Stars on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Saskatoon is currently 2 and 0 sitting third in league standings behind the Regina Rebels.

Congratulations to our #15, Jylelle Carpenter-Boesch, a grade 12 student at Campbell Collegiate High School! Jylelle has signed with the Nipissing Lakers to play hockey for the 2014-2015 season. Nipissing University is in North Bay, Ontario. We wish Jylelle all the best as she prepares for the exciting new chapter ahead. 
A big congratulations goes out to current Regina Rebel Delaney Frey for being chosen First Star of the SFMAAAHL Hockey League. Delaney's league write up can be found here-
